On Saturday, September 6, from 7–8:30pm, join us at the Middletown Art Center for an exclusive evening with artist Alana Clearlake. An Exclusive Conversation with Artist Alana Clearlake. "From microscopic to macroscopic, the forms of nature have always intrigued me—and these forms repeatedly shape my work as an overriding theme. From watercolor to enamel to felt, the forms are organic, fluid, and undulating." A retrospective of Clearlake's work is currently on view @MAC Thurs-Mon 10:30-5pm. The immersive and gorgeous exhibition features needle and wet-felted sculptures that integrate natural materials hanging from the ceiling, floating on the wall or sitting on flat surfaces. Earlier colorful enamel sculptures, vessels, and jewelry, as well as watercolors are also on view. The works span 1970 to 2025 and are a unique synthesis of Alana's consciousness, artistry, and temperament. This conversation is a chance to step inside the mind and heart of an artist whose work is as much about consciousness as it is about craft. This is a unique opportunity, so don’t miss this opportunity to connect with Alana and her extraordinary body of work.
