Rowing, as done in the Olympics, could be considered the ultimate team sport and we can do it right here on beautiful Clear Lake. Coach Mike Sullivan will be teaching the basics necessary to be part of an 8 person team boat. He will start with how to get in and out of the boat, understanding the commands, stopping and turning the boat, and after the basics are mastered, rowing with power – power that comes from your legs, back and arms in one smooth motion. People at any level of fitness can participate in this sport and work out at their comfort level, so don’t be shy about not being in the shape you might like to be in, as few of the current club members are either!
